NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ON – Erwin Wiens officially launched his campaign for Lord Mayor of Niagara-on-the-Lake today at Lakeview Vineyard, outlining a vision focused on responsible financial management, strong local representation, protection of agriculture, economic vitality, and balanced growth.
Speaking before family, friends, community leaders, farmers, business owners, volunteers, and residents, Wiens said Niagara-on-the-Lake requires experienced leadership and strong relationships at all levels of government to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.
"The past eight years on Council, including the last four years as Deputy Mayor, have prepared me for this moment. I understand what the role entails, the time commitment necessary, the legislative framework for municipalities, the challenges facing our Town, and the necessary partnerships that must be strengthened to protect what makes Niagara-on-the-Lake special."
